  • Spring Island sets the standard for a Natural Habitat Community, sponsoring a conservancy with a full time PHD on staff.
  • Palmetto Bluff was founded in 2003 with a mission of protecting the lush maritime forests and winding tidal creeks that defined the spectacular geography of the land that is home to Palmetto Bluff.
  • Callawassie Island was the first community in SC certified as a Natural Habitat; over 250 homes are registered backyard habitats; the golf course is Audibon certified. 
  • Rose Dhu Creek has has miles of nature and horse trails.
  • Oldfield incorporates nature into their community architecture and amenities with an outdoor pro on staff.
  • Pinckney Retreat has perseved the original Plantation houuse for use by members.  
  • Bull Point remains pristine.
