St Helena Island is a the largest of the outer-most Beaufort Sea Islands.  History abounds with Penn Center and Fort Fremont; both are worth a visit. The profiled communities of Dataw Island and Bermuda Bluff are in the vicinity.  Other neighborhoods of note include Lands End, Coffin Point, Eddings Point, Dulamo, Tansi Village, and Warsaw Island.

Harbor Island and Fripp Island are situated on the ocean.  Hunting Island State Park is as natural beach, with essentially no commercial establishments other that a few around the lighthouse.
